Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to drive and deliver exceptional retail business performance, through the provisional of efficient business management powerful leadership, team development and achievement service delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accountable for achieving annual sales and portfolio targets as cascaded from the business management
• Monitoring of progress towards achieving targets is done on a regular basis (daily and weekly)
• Prepare business plans and Strategy formulation to enhance unit profitability
• Accountability for enhancement of customer experience. Ensure that the highest standards of Customer Service are provided to all clients.
• Appraise and promptly address customer issues/complaints escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure that self service delivery channels such as ATMs are managed to maximize their use and minimize down-time
• Overall Accountability for in-branch Merchandising. Monitor Branch premises to ensure high standards of appearance are maintained to project the Bank’s image favorably
• Performance Management / disciplinary issues/Grievances for staff
• Ensure adequate staff cover plan and Succession planning in the branch is in place
• Train, motivate, and create a good working environment for staff to ensure maximum productivity
• Provide clear direction to branch staff on CBA business objectives, translating and prioritizing into business performance measures at branch level
• Establish relationships with key clients or business influencers in the local area, including client entertainment within budget limits set by the business.
Qualification and Experience required;
• Undergraduate degree or its equivalent
• Proficiency in computer use including MS Office tools and banking systems
• At least 7 years banking experience some of which should be in Sales or Relationship Management role and some within a branch operations role

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is driven by the vision of a world without malnutrition. GAIN is a Swiss based international organization that mobilizes public-private partnerships and provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition. The organization is delivering improved nutrition to an estimated 660 million people in more than 30 countries, half of whom are women and children. Nutrition products are as varied as fortified cooking oil in Indonesia, flour in Africa, soy sauce in China and biscuits in India, as well as specialized products for infant and young child nutrition, and interventions to protect the most vulnerable affected by emergencies or chronic illness.

GAIN’s program assistants play an important role in the smooth running of the organization. The Program Assistant, Tanzania, will provide day to day administrative and program assistance to the management of the office and support to the country program.

Description
Overall Purpose
Oversees office administration, procurement and logistics, facilitates the office startup in Dar es Salaam and provides administrative and program support to the country office.

Responsibilities:
Administrative and Program Assistance
• Provides assistance to the Project Lead and Project Officer, ensures compliance with GAIN policies and procedures
• Coordinates meetings with program consultants and international staff. Arranges meeting rooms, drafts and disseminates meeting agendas, prepares briefing notes and where necessary takes meeting minutes which may include preparing and disseminating materials as instructed.
• Organizes meetings and workshops for GAIN programs, including travel arrangements.
• Assists in scheduling and planning for events and conference calls, makes recommendations regarding meeting or equipment facilities. Organizes and coordinates meetings and calls including travel and hospitality for meeting attendees.
• Drafts correspondence including reports, contracts, and other administrative documents.
• Participates in the preparation and formatting and coordination of donor reports and proposals.
• Assumes responsibility for document filing and develops office administrative procedures as required.
• Responds to general enquiries to the country office.
• Manages timesheet entries and maintains timesheet records.
• Coordinates domestic and international travel arrangements for the Project Lead and Project Officer and visitors, inputs travel authorizations, processes travel claims and arranges tickets, visas etc.
• Prepares and formats standard contracts and related documents, in strict compliance with the standard contracting process and templates, and assists in the preparation of complex contracts

Registration Assistance
• Assists in the registration process of the Representative Office by preparing documents and arranging for translation as required.
• Coordinates meetings with government representatives and consultants.
• Liaisons with a designated focal point in Geneva for documents preparation and submission.
• Makes recommendations to select agents for processing expatriate work-permits, business visas, exit re-entry permits and ensures that documents are always up to date.
Finance Assistance
• Coordinates with a local tax consultant to ensure compliance with Tanzanian regulations regarding tax for the office and local employees.
• Ensures all documents are filed and maintained for auditing purposes
• Helps track the budget of the country office and assists in preparing donor reports
• Ensures the smooth flow of approval documents, ensuring information transfer to the relevant staff
• Prepares accounts payable documents (e.g. invoices, payment requests) for approval
• Works with Finance (Geneva) to ensure all project related expenses are properly coded to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting
• Assists the Project Lead in the development of documentation relating to budgets, cost analyses, reports and forecasting
• Manages petty cash and ensures that receipts are kept for all expenses.
Office Management
• Coordinates with GAIN Headquarters regarding space management, rentals, finalizing vendors, day to day monitoring / installation of office equipment, IT and coordination of annual contracts.
• Day to day facilities management of the Dar es Salaam office, developing and maintaining good relationships with suppliers
• Oversees transportation and vehicle management
• Supervises support staff such as building staff, security guards and cleaners
• Manages procurement as per GAIN’s procurement policy and national standards, liaising with Finance (Geneva)
• Effects payments to suppliers, based on approval and authorization by the Project Lead and GAIN Headquarters
• Coordinates delivery of goods from suppliers, manages records and keeps a fixed asset registry as per national requirements
• Ensures timely customs clearing and follow up with government offices
• Other duties as required by the Project Lea

Key Organizational Relationships
• Reports to the Project Lead, Tanzania
• Works with support staff in the Dar es Salaam office on all operations related activities
• Works across GAIN worldwide to ensure open communication channels, coordinates requests and meetings
• External suppliers, stakeholder organizations and respective ministries.
• Closely liaises with GAIN Finance and HR divisions (Geneva)
